After ten grey months it finally looks like there is life beyond Kitloo. Lake Ontario, even with all its hidden pollution, serves as a remarkable source of positive energy and relative beauty.

The result, however, is far more comforting for those who get to taste it, ideally with pancakes.

So far, the best way we know to enjoy caffeine in TO is in this little basement on John Street. Nowhere else in this country I have seen a flat white.

Another week in a row looking for decent bands was even more pathetic. Here the outdoor activity is virtually inexistent. Only a few walks around, combined with an extended lack of sleep, and a cold is almost a given

Big can be bad, too big is bad and extra big becomes awful. Our yearly trip to Texas has become a huge American circus, where music doesn't really matter anymore. For me, at this point, it's all about margaritas and friends.

The weather is usually an ally for outdoor activity, and even more noticeable when it is snowing in the city I was arriving from.

South by San José was a little nice place to enjoy than warmness, while listening to some bands and tasting some tequilas.

The night was busy and most bands were not too inspirational, but there were a few exceptions which caught my attention.
