air canadia, again

The Canadian airline most recognizable for its maple leaf logo is one of the most irritating elements that contributes to spread that horrendous sense of mediocrity that in the last few years seems to be invading Canada.

It does not matter if we look at the service, the food, the planes, the loyalty program. It all sucks, big time.

godello & hake

Back in the old continent both the astronomic and gastronomic expectations are exponentially higher than in Kanadia on any given day of the week. Eating fresh and tasty produce is not too complicated, and today Lynne confirmed this theory.

Her first hake "a la gallega" was a remarkable success, as expected. Even the sun decided to shine this afternoon for the first time since we got here last Wednesday.

huroning

What a fabulous week by Lake Huron, probably with the best sunsets of the year.

the other blue mountains

Nothing to do with the Blue Mountains I know in New South Wales, but yes, they are also mountains.

I accidentally found out about Northern spy apples, which grow in the area and seem to be ideal for apple pies.

My first swim of the year, in fresh water, took place yesterday in a quite unexpected location of the Offtarian territory right opposite to Collingwood: Lake Huron.

triple fifteen

It was a good Sunday for a brief summer storm. No more than fifteen minutes and it was basically over.
