Last Saturday we took the Owen Sound route, with a first stop over at Susie's, where the long canola fields shared a shockingly powerful yellow tone.
I was counting on a little bit of a Mustang immersion, but it didn't happen this time. The two fancy cars of the day were both parked side by side.
The temperatures were ideal for a summer swim, as the local Canada Geese were fully aware of.

hooked on king
Our new place to find very decent flat whites is right at the epicentre of our daily urban moves.
And right close to it there is a tiny place where chicken and doughnuts, very yummy ones, happen to be served all week long excluding Mondays.
The "Blueberry Balsamic" and "Mojito" ones have become favourites, although the "Macedonian Baklava" is pretty spectacular to look at.

In order to feed our auditive systems during the Montréal jazzy fest, we cabbed all the way up boulevard Saint-Laurent to Le Comptoir.
We first landed there last November, and that was a sensational surprise.

amacying solstice
As predicted a few months ago, our summer solstice weekend was a pretty amacying one. Not only because it was the start of the sunny season, but for the music dosage and the purity of it.
One more time Macy Gray displayed a rarely achievable level of sweet coolness. Her magical voice and her superb hair are simply unbeatable, no matter what she is singing.

canada days
Under much more moderate temperatures, this year Canada Day started at a truly favourite spot.
If ever in Montréal, the place to stay is Hotel Gault. Impressive architecture, great service and delightful breakfast. Room 410 is a quite spacious option to enjoy a few days in town.
